From time to time I’ll write reviews on books that I found particularly compelling or that got my attention. The Instant Millionaire by Marc Fisher was one of those books that peaked my curiosity, as well it should with as provocative a title as that. I wasn’t sure what I would find as I started turning and reading its pages. A self-help guide to sure winning strategies in the stock market, how to find your dream job and make oodles of money or perhaps how to make it big in online Internet business? I must say I was happily disappointed. The book is actually a little life lesson told as a story of a young man who seeks the advice of a wealthy elderly man through the suggestion of his uncle. That being said what transpires within the book is not so much awestruck revelation, as it is a slow progression of thought-provoking ideas. In and of itself the main premise of the book is a entertainingly, light-hearted presentation of the principles of the mantra. Repeat something enough times, think a thought enough times, visualize a situation enough times and it will become real. Live it within yourself, truly believe and possess it and it inevitably shall happen. Think of it as a small analogical textbook on self-actualization through repeated re-enforcement of an idea. It can be applied just as easily to keeping a new year’s resolution than to becoming the next Warren Buffet. The book is an easy read, but don’t think it won’t stay with you, the lesson, although not a new one, is told with a new slant. Although not quite as poignant, or so I thought, but it does remind me a bit of the book Who Moved My Cheese as it is a short narrative on human nature and psyche.

I enjoyed the review Stefano. It was light and easy reading. To me your assessment was neither over critical nor over complimentary. You managed to grasp the point of the book, which is to orient ones mind towards success, which was the intent of the author and to me a key selling point. In my opinion your review would not be insulting in any way to the author. Keep it up…I am rushing out to buy a copy right now!
It comes down to these simple words said by Dr. Phil: You need to name it to claim it!
…and yes it works.
